This week I had the opportunity to the bizarre artwork of Vanessa Gamboa. This work of art is called Chrysalis, the process of forming human relationships and social bonds. Its focus is the compromise and reward involved in uniting to become something more monumental, bearing more potential than individual alone. The artwork included a video of the process of Chrysalis and a pile of clothes, that could represents the shedding of skins. The video portrayed the never ending cyclical patterns by showing the stages of formation simultaneously. This is the process of human aging and growing up, just like the caterpillars.
