As I entered Christopher Vavrek’s art gallery of Server and Protect the Virus I immediately thought of a scary maze or a dark jungle. There were long and big cables at the entrance that looked like vines, which I thought was pretty cool. And as I get deeper into the gallery, there were lights, computers, projectors, filmstrips, gadgets, and probably anything that is computer related. But these aren’t new, they were old stuffs, probably in the 90s or older. Also, it was quite a mess in there, everything was out of place and not very organized. I stumbled upon a projector with many old filmstrips on it. I thought this was pretty amazing because it maybe a collective memory of the artist’s childhood. He captured every aspect of his life through these filmstrips.
